Inspiration: Skin

I've been loving the new episodes of skins and think the costume design is pretty funky.

I realize that most of these kids are so unlikable but I think thats part of the appeal.
The pattern of Skins is like that though. The first season of each generation shows us their weaknesses. They are children who've discovered sexuality, but have no comprehension of real world consequences. They don't think about their futures or much of anything beyond the next rush.
Then, in the second season we finally get to see them transitioning into young adulthood.

I decided to play around and get some skins inspired outfit ideas for a post. So here goes...

EFFY STONEM

Adventurous, Open minded and promiscuous.

One of the only 2 characters from the first generation to make it to the second is Effy, younger sister of Tony Stonem.

Effy is queen bee of the second generation of skins and with a motto of "Everyone dances to the beat of their own boom boom" it's no surprise Effy likes to push all the boundaries.

Effy's style is kind of effortless neo-grunge that she throws on without a care in the world.

PANDORA MOON

Sweet little Pandora (Panda) is Effy's best friend and is has a sweet tooth for naughtiness. Pandora, along with Effy, is the only character from the prior generation to return. She had only a bit role in the second season, where we saw her and Effy become friends. All we knew about her then was that she talked constantly and was a bit off. and for the second generation none of that has changed.

Pandora represents the youth and innocence that all the other characters have lost along the way.

Pandora's still trying to make the best from clothes her mum buys her - who thinks she's still 10 - and cool doesn't really cross her mind when she's getting dressed.

NAOMI CAMPBELL

Naomi is an idealist. Passionate, political and principled. She is the only one who believes in anything.

When Naomi's getting dressed up she's doing it purely for herself and she’s having a laugh with it. She's constantly got a project on the go and is one of those girls who's always reading 3 books at once so of corse she has to have her oversized bag. I love how on the show her bag reads; "Warning Contains Idea's"

EMILY FITCH

Emily enjoys being a twin and is very much the quiet one with her sister often bullying and manipulating her.

Emily's starts the season as a closeted lesbian and her style is mostly controlled by her sister but as the season progresses she comes out to her friends and family about her sexual orientation an starts to develop her own sense of style and we really start to see who she is.

KATIE FITCH

Katie is trying to shed her identical twin image and establish her individuality while seemingly trampling her twin sister along the way.

Katie fancy herself a bit of a WAG and her style is very out there sexy.
